The Image Analysis Special Interest Group has sunset after seven years. BIG THANK YOU to our Outgoing Image Analysis Special Interest Group Chairs – Clarence Yapp and Ghmkin Hassan!
In its seven years of existence, the Image Analysis Special Interest Group has accomplished so much: hackathons, publications, and countless seminars on cutting edge imaging research and technology. Huge thank you to the chairs and community for all of their contributions!
The MC2 Center team is so grateful and – we know the community benefitted so much from for your years of service!

As I step down as co-chair of the Image Analysis Special Interest Group (SIG), I want to express my deep appreciation to all who have contributed to our success. Over the past three years, we’ve hosted seminars on key topics like image analysis best practices, machine learning, and virtual/mixed reality, and organized two global hackathons that inspired many to incorporate imaging into their cancer research. The SIG’s main goal of fostering community engagement has been achieved, and I’ve been fortunate to build lasting collaborations with both academic and industry partners. I look forward to continuing these partnerships in the development of novel imaging methods. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. I am truly grateful for your contributions.
